With Andrew Cifuo out of eligibility to play shortstop at Clemson, Tigers head coach Erik Bakich went into the Switch Portal and landed a greater than appropriate substitute. Tyler Lichtenberger, the Solar Belt Freshman of the 12 months, dedicated to the Tigers, in keeping with broadcaster Isaac Edelman.
Lichtenberger is a local of Boca Raton, FL who had a sensational freshman season with the Mountaineers. He led the workforce with a .341 batting common. He had three homers, 27 RBIs, drew 18 walks and stole seven bases in 9 makes an attempt. He dedicated a dozen errors for a .943 fielding share.
Lichtenberger is the second introduced switch to Clemson from one other main program for the 2025 class.
